The Gender Gap

The gender pay disparity has proven to be an enduring fallacy. It's a useful fallacy since it impels female constituents to seek political solutions. And that is certainly easier than taking responsibility for individual decisions.

Women, as an aggregate, earn less than men, as an aggregate. Women work fewer hours, and they choose work that maximizes flexible scheduling. Also, women have to trade their peak fertility for putting shoulder to capitalism's wheel. Starting a family in your twenties will risk the scorn of society for your apostasy from "feminism."

Government is going hammer and tongs to break business to the will of the female voter. Two years ago, President Obama decreed that federal contractors must disclose wages by gender. Last month, the President ordered that even private companies with more than one hundred employees must fill out a form that lists job descriptions, gender, race, and wages.

Jenny Yang, chairwoman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, said that the information will "inform our investigations." The information could be used to initiate them, too?

Great Britain is getting in on the act now, too. UK companies will soon be required to report to the government their wage disparities. Prime Minister David Cameron has promised to erase the gender pay gap "within a generation."

Why is the gender pay gap only a bad thing when women are earning less on average? Why is there no Manhattan Project to protect male workers who earn less?

Census data from 2008 shows that women in their 20's now earn eight percent more on average than their male counterparts. Are we going to close the pay gap by continuing to treat boyhood as a disorder and pushing men out of educational opportunities?

Feminists aren't interested in equality. They are interested in female supremacy and total control of resources. That is my Unified Theory of Feminism, and I see it confirmed every day.

That's why they don't squawk about all gender pay disparities. If they did, they would demand change in the porn industry. On average, male porn stars earn 30,000 dollars a year, compared to $50,000 a year for female porn stars.

Why is there no Act of Congress to remedy this? The Ron Jeremy Act has a nice ring to it.

When will women wake up to the very real compensation difference between men and women for their genetic material? Women can get paid $5,000 or more for some of their eggs. Men get the shaft and around fifty bucks for their genetic material. Something like the Splooge Equality Act would be a masterstroke of fairness.

The only way we could eliminate the gender gap within a generation would be if society valued a barista exactly the same as a plumber. Come to think of it, The Gender Gap would be an excellent name for a porno studio.
